R4i Gold V1.4.2 / R4 Gold card support Nintendo DSi V1.4.2

R4i Gold is a most famoust gold r4 Cartridges in the world. It is made by r4ids.cn. The before version is r4i gold V1.4.1. On May 2011, it upgraded to R4i Gold V1.4.2 to support Nintendo DSi V1.4.2. By loading V1.4.2 update patch, this r4i gold V1.4.2 card perfectly run games and medias on Nintendo DS, DS lite and DSi V1.4.2. Many people like to call it R4 Gold card, as it’s gold package. The upgrade version of r4 gold card is R4i Gold 3DS card. It supports all Nintendo consoles, including 3DS. N3DS users can choose it for use.

R4i Gold Kernel

There are two R4i gold kernel available for r4i gold card, the r4i kernel and wood r4 kernel. Latest r4i kernel is r4i v1.51b which was released on April 1st. Latest wood r4 kernel is wood r4 V1.29, which was issuded on May 2nd. Both of them can run perfecty on r4 gold card and support DSi V1.4.2. Users can download any of them for installation.

    is this out of production because i want the r4i gold 1.4.2 instead of the r4i gold 3ds the older package that comes with the case for the r4i gold v.1.4.2.

    # sorry, the r4i gold v1.4.2 is out of production for a long time. Now, all product in the market is r4i gold 3ds card.

    the r4i gold 3ds card can play Pokemon in Nintendo 3DS V3.0.0-6 console. No need any upgrade. Just download the pokemon and put it into the root of MicroSD card, then it can be played.

    Doesn't work with Delkin card redaers either but with my olympus E3 it was fast.Problem is that the adapters are bigger then the charger so it doesn't fit with my casemate snap case I have on the ipad2.

    MAKE SURE YOU GET POKEMON HEART GOLD OR SOUL SILVER!Seriously, the Pokemon epirexence ain't complete if you can't catchem all.Scribblenauts and the Ace Attorney series are also great games to look for.

    there are more than 30 r4 cards in the market. However, i think this r4i gold V1.4.2 card is better beyond them.

    latest Wood R4 V1.31 runs well on this card.
    Wood R4 V1.31 update has fixed gaming problem, and lists some of them below.
    5698 - 'fairy tail gekitotsu! kardia daiseidou (JP)'
    5696 - 'yu-gi-oh! 5d's - world championship 2011 - over the nexus (EU)'
    5700 - 'tangled (USA)'
    5713 - 'kimi ni todoke - tsutaeru kimochi (JP)'
    5720 - 'yu-gi-oh! 5d's - world championship 2011 - over the nexus (USA)'
    5726 - 'meitantei conan - aoki houseki no rondo (JP)'
    5727 - 'treasure report - kikai jikake no isan (JP)'
    - softreset in 'lack of disco' homebrew fixed.

    This R4i Gold V1.4.2 is only a DSi card, it can't support Nintendo 3DS console.

    I got this card last month. It works well in my DSi V1.4.2 and DS with good compatibility. The wood r4 kernel for it update very frequently. If not using a 3DS, I belive this r4i gold v1.4.2 is a good choice for players.
